STARTERS - POTATO CREAM WITH BACON AND SMOKED SAUSAGE



- Instant mashed potatoes;
- 300 grams of bacon;
- 300 grams of smoked sausage;
- 3 cloves of garlic;
- 1 onion;
- Spring onion;
- Croutons;
- Grated cheese;
- Vegetable stock;
- Salt, pepper, pepperoni and curry;

Preparation:

Chop the garlic and place it in a pan, fry it with oil and soon after add diced onion. Add the bacon and the sausage and fry them for 10 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
While frying, season it with pepper, pepperoni and curry according to your taste, add a liter and half of water and two vegetable stock cubes, if you want or have time, you can make the stock yourself.
Finally, add the instant mashed potatoes until the mixture became a cream. Let boil for another five minutes. Add some salt if necessary.
Place the cream in a deep dish or bowl, add croutons, grated cheese and chopped spring onions.

P.S. Making homemade croutons is very easy. Cut the sliced bread into cubes, place it in a baking tray, add olive oil, pepper, salt, oregano and garlic powder (optional).
Let it bake for 25 minutes in the oven at 180 degrees.


Why cooking?


I am not a professional cook, but I love being in the kitchen, knowing flavors and aromas, I believe that cooking is a great alchemy. There are various ingredients that when mixed they become themselves a series sensations for viewing, assimilation of smell and taste in the end.
When I cook I rarely think about what I will cook, but for who I'm cooking. What does this person like? Sweet? Salty? Sour? Bittersweet? I must prepare a hot or cold dish? This person enjoys a traditional and comforting homemade food or are we talking about a sophisticated dish?
Vegetarian, carnivores, omnivores, addicted to sweets, good pastas and sauces lovers, I have friends from various tribes and tastes, and when I open the fridge to cook for them, I begin to associate the flavors and aromas to the personality and preferences of each one. Yes, I only cook for those ones I love.
